The GI Effects Digestive Function & Microbiome Test is a comprehensive stool analysis designed to provide detailed insight into digestive health, gut function and the balance of the gut microbiome.

This advanced laboratory test evaluates how effectively you digest and absorb nutrients, assesses markers of inflammation and immune activity, and analyses the balance of beneficial and potentially harmful microorganisms within the digestive tract.

It can help identify underlying imbalances that may be contributing to digestive symptoms and support the development of a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme.

Who is this test suitable for?

The GI Effects® test may be beneficial for individuals experiencing:

  • Abdominal pain or cramping
  • Bloating or excessive gas
  • Constipation or diarrhoea
  • Acid reflux or indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Poor appetite
  • Difficulty digesting fatty foods
  • Feeling unusually full after eating
  • Changes in stool appearance, colour or consistency

It may also be suitable for those who:

  • Suspect a bacterial, yeast or parasitic imbalance.
  • Experience recurrent digestive issues without a clear cause.
  • Have autoimmune conditions or chronic inflammation.
  • Suffer from allergies or food sensitivities.
  • Experience eczema, psoriasis or other skin concerns.
  • Wish to optimise their digestive and overall health.

As much of the body's immune activity is closely linked with the gut, assessing digestive function and the microbiome can provide valuable information when investigating a wide range of chronic health concerns.
